ACL View

ACLView allows you to view and edit file system ACLs in Windows XP Home without having to boot into safe mode. It also works with other versions of Windows and contains features that the built in security tab in explorer lacks.

ACLView is made by Native Computer Systems and can be dowloaded at their website .

If one prefers to use the Windows built-in method of managing ACLs one can retrieve the security tab, without having to boot into safe mode, by applying the Security for folders and files-patch found on this page. Description:

This program produces an patched version of the file rshx32.dll with that one it possibly, to show the page security also in the normal mode.
